I have used Builders buyer and will certainly recommend it. I am using it on the next project which is a large renovation project. Builders do not have the best reputation which is probably unfair in most cases but it just means that the majority of my investment is safe. I give the builder confidence by paying money in and he writes his order for me to check. Its just another layer of security. I do not see why you would not use it. The builder is better off and I have more security and peace of mind.

I love the way you can use it. If you want to do labour only contract, it lends itself to that but if you want to do a traditional contract with supply and labour, I just deduct their spend on builders buyer and take off the contract. Its very simple. Simply send the list to the customer the night before , they pay for the materials you need for that stage payment. The builders merchant then gets notified as soon as the payment is made and release the goods. It is great for my book-keeping, kept me under thresholds and has given both customers and myself peace of mind.

I have only just started to use it but can really see the benefit. Sometimes I may need the odd item and have to buy it in the conventional way but for the large orders, I place through builders buyer, it has all my receipts in one place , it makes my book keeping a breeze and I don’t lose any profit. It’s a win win.

I hate dealing with customers and contracts. I want to go to work and get paid. It’s a lot easier for me if the customers buy the materials and I do the labour.

Builders Buyer gave us confidence. We had not used Martin and his building team before, so a £5000 deposit to someone we did not know creates anxiety. I understand that it does a great deal for the builder as well but from our point of view it gave us confidence.

We used builders buyer for our utility and bathroom. It has tax benefits for our builders and so we benefit from that as well. When we buy the materials with builders buyer, they can source them for our tradesmen, allowing us to get trade prices which is great when we are not in the industry.
